Life Imitates Art

Art, a seemingly simple, uncomplicated word.
Well, it depends on how you view the three-lettered concept.
What is art?
The answer can be as clear as the Blue sky in July.
It can also be as elusive as asking how big the universe really is.

Is art a critically acclaimed oil on canvas work by a big name painter?
A choreography of ballet dance by a renowned prima ballerina?
A masterpiece of classical music composition, perhaps?

Wild. #StyledByMarina

Stepping into the unknown and experiencing new things can easily be as daunting as the first day of high school, or your very first job interview. You have no clue whether or not you are doing it right. Kind of like this outfit I have on. Animal prints are all fun and games, but they are the sort of fashion style that I had always been very unsure of. To put it simply, I am just not sure if I can pull it off.

Yet as curiosity always gets the best of me, when I encounter this leopard printed top whilst shopping at the sale section at my local ZARA Store, I have to give it a go. To my surprise, I sort of fell in love with the look I put together.

Wearing: Leopard Printed Lantern Sleeve Shirt - ZARA High-Waisted Fluffy Side-Slit Sports Pants - Vii&Co Faux Fur Coat Platform Boots - QueenCity

This is definitely an edgier and sexier look and a little out of my normal comfort zone. I personally found animal prints a bit difficult to style and can sometimes be overdone if you go a little over…

Neon Jungle.

There's a sense of uneasiness in the air.
All the flashing city lights blinded my sight, My vision becomes blurry,
The utopia I see is deceiving.

The passing cars and their engines so loud, I couldn't hear my own voice and clear my messy thoughts. Drowning in a sea of white noises, Trying to get a hold of my last shred of sanity.

Burberry Baby in the Wild #StyledByMarina

Happy new year guys! Let's kick off 2018 with a new outfit post. I recently had a lovely, casual stroll down the botanical garden near my house. It was a sunny winter afternoon, the seemingly endless rainy weather has finally decided to leave my city alone for the time being. Naturally, I had to seize the moment to venture outside, enjoy the sunshine while it lasted. It is only fitting that I do a little photoshoot for my outfit of the day.

Welcome 2018! My New Year Resolutions

It is crazy to think that 2017 is coming to an end. Sometimes it's just difficult to wrap our head around how fast time flies. It seems as if it were only yesterday that I made up my mind to start this little blog of my own, and now almost a year has passed since then.

Today I'd like to open up and share a list of my new year resolutions for the year 2018. They say people like to make resolutions but when all the exciting New Year's Eve party ended and all the confetti and fireworks have fallen to the ground, all those high expectations and excitement we have for the new year will gradually and eventually died with them. We go back to our mundane, busy life and repeat the same things we did last year.

But really though? Is it the cold heart truth that we always have high and unrealistic expectations for the future yet only to be let down by the real world?

Grandpa's Sweater from the 60s #StyledByMarina

Today I'm coming at you with a quick winter outfit post. Keeping it warm and stylish in the winter time can be quite a challenge for us girls. Especially when it is currently 5 degrees or snowy outside and you gotta look good while trying to stay warm and cozy. As much as we all adore a sexy silk dress or a chic little black dress for Christmas and  New Year party, sometimes the weather just gets too freezing cold to even consider wearing a dress.

When it comes to the kind of clothing materials and fabrics that are capable of keeping one nice and toasty during the winter season, wool and knit automatically comes up to my mind. Combining my love for vintage and retro clothing, I created this head-to-toe outfit look using mostly the clothes that have been in my closet for ages and some of them I purchased recently during my trip to South Korea.
